Thank you to all participants for contributing to making the fifth CONVERSATIONS workshop on chatbot research and design, an engaging and memorable event.
A total of 18 papers were presented, in addition to two keynotes and a two-hour groupwork session. All across the two days of this year’s edition of the CONVERSATIONS workshop series.

The papers presented at the workshop has been carefully selected following double blind review. All full papers (<50% acceptance rate) are published in the Springer LNCS workshop proceedings. All position papers are openly available at the workshop website.
CONVERSATIONS 2021 was hosted by the University of Oslo, Department of Media and Communication, Oslo, Norway.
The workshop was supported by the University of Amsterdam, through its Digital Communication Methods Lab, and SINTEF and the Research Council of Norway, through the project Human Chatbot Interaction Design.
